Latin name:Telenomus olipentis
Vietnamese Name:Ong telenomus olipentis
Family:Scelionidae
Order:Hymenoptera
Class (Group):

Female: Head width is twice its length. The posterior of the head curves slightly forward, with the apex of the curve directed towards the anterior ocellus. The post-ocular area is wide, but its width is less than half the width of the compound eye. The posterior ocellus is located near the edge of the compound eye; the distance between them is less than the diameter of the ocellus. The compound eye is oval, longer than wide (15:10), with short hairs at 56x magnification. The frons above the antennal sockets is slightly concave. The area between the antennal sockets and the edge of the compound eye is slightly convex. A groove connects the lower edge of the compound eye and the base of the mandible. The length of the cheek is less than the length of the compound eye. The vertex has small granular sculpturing; the cheek and frons near the edge of the compound eye have similar granular sculpturing as the vertex but are less dense; the rest of the frons and cheek are almost smooth.

Antennae with 11 segments, clavate. The scape is longer than its width and four times longer than the radicle, 2.4 times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is longer than the third. The fourth antennal segment is slightly longer than the fifth, but shorter than the third; the length of each segment is greater than its width. The sixth antennal segment is the smallest, its length nearly equal to its width. The antennal club has 5 segments; the total length of the club segments is about 3.7 times greater than their greatest width and longer than the length of the scape.

The thorax is longer than wide. The mesoscutum lacks a median longitudinal groove and has small granular sculpturing. The scutellum has small granular sculpturing, which is sparse around the edges, and is almost smooth in the middle.

The forewing is about 3.3 times longer than wide and about 2.8 times wider than the thorax. The postmarginal vein is about twice as long as the stigmal vein. The hindwing is normally narrow.

The abdomen is 2.3 times longer than wide. The first tergite of the abdomen is 2.4 times longer than wide. The second tergite is about 4.4 times longer than the first, is longer and wider than the other tergites and occupies a large portion of the abdomen’s length (22:35), and its length is about 1.5 times greater than its width. The anterior half of the first tergite and the base of the second tergite have longitudinal striations, while the remainder of the first and second tergites, and the rest of the tergites are smooth.

Body is black. The anterior of the scape and radicle are yellow; the remaining part of the scape and the other antennal segments are dark brown to black. Wings are transparent, with pale brown veins.

Male and biology are unknown.
