Description:
Female: Head width is twice its length, and greater than the width of the thorax. The vertex of the head lacks a transverse ridge. Compound eyes have long, wide hairs. The frons is slightly concave medially, lacking transverse striae. The head surface has a finely granular texture. The area between the compound eye and the antennal scrobe is slightly convex. The antennae are 11-segmented and clavate. The scape is four times as long as it is wide and three times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is approximately twice as long as the third. Antennal segments 3 and 4 are of equal length. Segment 5 is shorter than segment 4 and longer than segment 6. The antennal club is 5-segmented, and the total length of the club segments is equal to the length of the scape.
The thorax is longer than wide. The mesoscutum is not convex, with a finely granular texture. The scutellum is smooth and shiny. The forewing is three times as long as it is wide. The forewing has a postmarginal vein that is 1.5 times longer than the marginal vein; the marginal vein is much shorter than the stigmal vein.
The abdomen is long, its length three times greater than its width. The first tergite of the abdomen is shorter than the second, with the anterior portion of the first tergite being slightly convex (higher than the second tergite). The first tergite and the basal portion of the second tergite have longitudinal striations, while the remaining part of the second tergite and other tergites are without striations, being nearly smooth and shiny.
The body is black. The anterior part of the scape, and the tibiae and tarsi are yellow. The remaining part of the scape, coxae, and femora of the legs are black. Body length is 1 mm.
Male differs from female: Entire antennae are yellow, abdomen is black, tibiae, tarsi and thorax are brown. The abdomen is 1.5 times longer than it is wide and is equal in length to the thorax. All tergites of the abdomen are smooth and shiny.
Size:
Body length is approximately 0.7 mm.
