Description:
Female: Head width is twice its length, slightly wider than the thorax. Vertex (top of the head) has a post-ocellar distance (between the posterior ocelli) greater than the diameter of the ocelli. The posterior ocelli are positioned near the compound eyes; the distance between them exceeds the diameter of the ocelli. The post-ocular area is wide, its width being less than the width of the compound eyes. The area above the antennal sockets (frons) is not concave and lacks transverse striations, appearing nearly smooth. There is no protuberance between the antennal sockets and the edge of the compound eyes, but there are fine, granular sculptures present. Compound eyes are oval, small, with a length greater than their width (7:4). At 56x magnification, the compound eyes show indistinct hairs. Vertex and genae (cheeks) have fine, granular sculptures. Antennae are 11-segmented, clavate (club-shaped). The first antennal segment (scape) is three times longer than wide, three times longer than the radicle (pedicel), and 2.5 times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is about 1.5 times longer than the third. Antennal segments 4-6 become progressively shorter, with segment 6 having approximately equal length and width. The antennal clava (club) has 5 segments; the total length of these segments is five times their greatest width and exceeds the length of the scape.
The thorax is slightly longer than wide. The mesoscutum (middle dorsal plate of the thorax) lacks a median furrow and has fine, granular sculptures. The scutellum is smooth. The forewing is slightly more than three times longer than wide; the postmarginal vein is twice as long as the stigmal vein.
The abdomen is narrower than the thorax, with a length twice its width. The first abdominal tergite is twice as wide as long, and about 2.5 times shorter than the second tergite. The second tergite is longer and wider than other abdominal tergites. Subsequent tergites become progressively shorter and narrower. The ovipositor is exposed. The bases of the first and second tergites exhibit short longitudinal striations; the remaining portions of the first two tergites are smooth.
Body color is black. Antennae and legs are black. Wings are hyaline (transparent) with brown veins.
