Description:
Female: Head width approximately twice its length, slightly wider than the thorax. The vertex posterior to the ocelli abruptly angled, with a transverse ridge, not continuous in the middle. The posterior ocelli are close to the compound eyes, with the distance between them less than the diameter of one ocellus. The temporal region posterior to the compound eyes is narrow. The frons above the antennal scrobes is slightly concave, without transverse striae, and almost smooth. The area between the antennal scrobes and the compound eyes is slightly swollen, with small granular sculpture. Compound eyes are oval-shaped, with the length greater than the width (20:15). The distance between the two compound eyes is greater than the width of one eye, but not greater than the length of one eye. At 56x magnification, the eyes have short hairs. The malar space is shorter than the length of the compound eye. The malar space and vertex have small granular sculpture. Antennae are 11-segmented, clavate (club-shaped). The scape (basal segment of the antenna) is approximately 5.3 times longer than wide, 3.6 times longer than the radicle, and 2.7 times longer than the second antennal segment. Antennal segments 4-6 become progressively shorter, segment 6 having a length and width that are almost equal. The antennal club has 5 segments; the total length of the club segments is approximately 4.8 times their greatest width, and longer than the scape.
The thorax is slightly longer than wide (35:30). The mesoscutum (middle dorsal plate of the thorax) has no longitudinal groove. Both the mesoscutum and scutellum have small granular sculpture, but the sculpture on the scutellum is finer than that on the mesoscutum. The forewing is approximately 3.5 times longer than wide and 2.3 times wider than the thorax; the postmarginal vein is about 1.5 times longer than the stigmal vein.
The abdomen is narrower than the thorax, longer than its width, and equal in length to the thorax. The first tergite of the abdomen is approximately 3 times longer than wide, and its length is only 1/3 of the length of the second tergite. The second tergite is approximately 2 times wider than long. The subsequent tergites are short and become progressively narrower. The first tergite and the anterior 1/4 of the second tergite have longitudinal striae; the remaining portion of the second tergite is smooth.
The body is black. The first and second antennal segments are brown, and the remaining segments are black. The legs are yellowish-brown.
