Description:
Female: Head width is twice the length. The vertex behind the posterior ocelli does not abruptly curve. Compound eyes are nearly round, slightly longer than wide. The distance between the posterior ocelli and the edge of the compound eye equals the distance between the posterior ocelli and the anterior ocellus. The frons is not concave medially. The vertex, frons, and cheeks have honeycomb-like punctation. The head and compound eyes lack obvious setae. Antennae are 12-segmented, clavate. The scape is five times longer than wide and 3.5 times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is slightly shorter than the third. The fourth antennal segment is as long as wide (6:6), its length slightly exceeding that of the fifth antennal segment. The fifth antennal segment is wider than long. The length to width ratio of the remaining antennal segments are as follows: 6 – 7:8; 7 – 7:10; 8 – 6:10; segments 9 to 11 – 6:9; 12 – 8:6. The thorax is longer than wide. Its surface bears honeycomb-like punctation. The scutellum has two teeth. The propodeum has short silvery-white setae. The forewing is three times longer than wide and 2.7 times wider than the thorax. The abdomen is three times longer than wide. The first tergite is shorter than the second, the third tergite is slightly longer than the second (30:28) and the same length as the fourth. The fifth tergite is shorter than the fourth, and 2.3 times longer than the sixth. The sixth tergite is twice as wide as long. Body color is black. Compound eyes, antennae, and mandibles are dark brown. Legs are yellowish-brown.
Male: Resembles the female in shape and color. It is distinguished from the female by having 10-segmented, filiform antennae.
