Description:

Female wasps: This species is closely related to Scelio dion Kozlov et Le, and they are differentiated by the following characteristics:

1(2). The abdominal tergites possess white hairs. The scape (basal segment of the antenna) is 7 times longer than wide and 4.2 times longer than the second antennal segment (pedicel). The veins of the forewings and legs are brown. Body length is 3.7 mm. This is Scelio dion Kozlov et Le.

2(1). The abdominal tergites lack white hairs. The scape is 5 times longer than wide and 4.4 times longer than the pedicel. The veins of the forewings and legs are yellowish-brown. Body length is 3.7 mm. This is Scelio callimone Kozlov et Le.
