Head:

  • The head’s width is 1.6 times greater than its length.
  • The vertex (top of the head) is not abruptly angled behind the ocelli (simple eyes).
  • The temporal region (behind the compound eyes) is narrower than the width of the compound eyes.
  • The vertex and frons (forehead) exhibit a reticulate pattern (honeycomb-like).
  • The gena (cheeks) have a pattern of small, reticulate cells interspersed with fan-shaped grooves.
  • The compound eyes are smooth.
  • The antennae are filiform (thread-like) and composed of 10 segments.
    • The scape (basal segment) is four times longer than wide and 4.8 times longer than the second antennal segment (pedicel).
    • The pedicel’s length equals its width (5:5) and is shorter than the third antennal segment (5:8).
    • The third antennal segment is wider than the pedicel (6:5).
    • Antennal segments 4 and 6 are equal in length and width, with their length being less than their width (5-6).
    • Antennal segment 5 is wider and longer than segment 6, with its width and length being equal (8:8).
    • Antennal segments 7-9 have equal length and width (5:5).
    • Antennal segment 10 is longer than wide (9:5).

Thorax:

  • The thorax is longer than wide, its width is greater than that of the abdomen, and is slightly narrower than the head.
  • The mesoscutum (central dorsal plate) lacks a median groove.
  • The thoracic surface exhibits a pattern similar to that of the head.

Abdomen:

  • The abdomen’s length is three times greater than its width.
  • The first tergite (dorsal plate) of the abdomen is wider than long (22:15) and shorter than the second tergite (15:18).
  • The second tergite is 1.7 times wider than long.
  • The third tergite is longer than the other abdominal tergites, its width slightly exceeding its length (35:30).
  • The length to width ratios for the remaining tergites are as follows: 15:25; 8:18; 4:12.
  • Longitudinal grooves are present on abdominal tergites 1-6.
  • The seventh tergite has a small granular pattern.

Coloration:

  • Head: Black.
  • Thorax: Dark brown.
  • Abdomen: Reddish-brown.
  • Antennae, mandibles (jaws), and legs: Yellowish-brown.
  • Compound eyes: Orange.
