Male: This species is closely related to Scelio callimone Kozlov et Le, and is distinguished by the following characteristics:

  • The distance between the posterior ocellus and the compound eye is equal to the diameter of the ocellus.
  • The first tergite of the abdomen is 2.3 times wider than it is long.
  • The scape (first segment of the antenna) is black, while the femora (thighs) and tibiae (shins) are yellow.
  • The wings are not uniformly colored.
  • Body length: 3.6 mm.
  • The female is unknown.

Comparison with Scelio dones Kozlov et Le:

  • The distance between the posterior ocellus and the edge of the compound eye is greater than the diameter of the ocellus.
  • The first tergite of the abdomen is 1.5 times wider than it is long.
  • The scape is brown, and the femora and tibiae are also brown.
  • The wings are uniformly brown.

Size: 3.6 mm body length.

Distribution: Vietnam: Gia Lai.
