Description:
Female wasps: This species is closely related to Scelio arion Kozlov et Le. They can be distinguished by the following characteristics:
1(2). Abdominal tergites with very prominent silvery-white hairs. The abdomen is three times longer than wide. The fourth abdominal tergite is wider than the third. Ocelli and compound eyes are iridescent white. Body length is 4.3 mm. Scelio conon Kozlov et Le.
2(1). Abdominal tergites lack the hairs described above. The abdomen is 2.6 times longer than wide. The third abdominal tergite is wider than the fourth. Compound eyes are dark brown. Body length is 3.8 mm. Scelio arion Kozlov et Le.
