Description:
Male: Head horizontal, wider than long (1.5 times), as wide as the thorax, lacking setae (hairs). Frons not concave, without transverse striae (grooves). Vertex and frons with small, fine punctures. Ocelli (simple eyes) situated close to the compound eyes. Compound eyes oval, small, length greater than width (7:5), with indistinct hairs. Malar space (cheek) sculpturing similar to that of the frons. Antennae 12-segmented, filiform (thread-like), without a club. Scape (first antennal segment) 3.6 times longer than wide and 2.4 times longer than the pedicel (second segment) and second segment. Second antennal segment slightly shorter than the third segment; subsequent segments are approximately equal in length.
Thorax longer than wide. Mesoscutum (central dorsal plate of the thorax) without a median groove. Mesoscutum and scutellum with small punctures. Metanotum (posterior segment of the thorax) a narrow band, without a median spine. Propodeum (posterior segment of the thorax) shallowly concave medially; the lateral plates of the thorax sculptured similarly to the mesoscutum. Forewing longer than wide and 3.4 times wider than the thorax. Postmarginal vein 2.5 times longer than the stigmal vein, stigmal vein very short.
Abdomen 2.5 times longer than wide. First tergite (dorsal plate) without a horn anteriorly. First tergite as long as the third tergite and shorter than the second tergite; subsequent tergites gradually shorter. First tergite and the anterior 1/3 of the second tergite with longitudinal striae. The remaining tergites smooth, without striae or hairs.
Body black. Antennae black. Wing veins brown. Legs dark brown. Second tergite and the abdomen dark brown.
Female: Unknown.
Size:
Body length 1.6 mm. This species is similar to Probaryconus maridris Kozlov et Le, but it is completely different from the above species in coloration and size, as indicated in the identification key.
