Latin name:Paridris stigmalshortis
Vietnamese Name:Ong paridris stimalshortis
Family:Scelionidae
Order:Hymenoptera
Class (Group):

Description:

Female: Head horizontal, with a width 1.6 times greater than its length, and equal to the width of the thorax. The frons (forehead) is not concave and is smooth in the center, lacking a transverse ridge. The vertex (top of the head) exhibits irregular granular striations. The posterior ocelli (simple eyes) are located a distance from the compound eyes exceeding three times the diameter of the ocellus. Compound eyes are oval, with a length exceeding the width by 1.5 times. The eyes have numerous short, dense hairs. The length of the eye exceeds the length of the gena (cheek). The gena features fan-shaped grooves. The antennae have 12 segments and are clavate (club-shaped). The scape (basal segment) is 5.7 times longer than wide, and 3.5 times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is longer than the third segment. Subsequent segments shorten progressively, with the sixth segment being smaller than the preceding one. The antennal club has 6 segments, with the length of the club exceeding its width by 3.5 times, and is equal in length to the scape.

The thorax is longer than wide. The posterior half of the mesoscutum (mid-dorsal plate of the thorax) lacks a median groove; the scutellum is rounded, and lacks spines posteriorly. The metanotum (posterior segment of the thorax) is a narrow plate, concave in the middle. The propodeum (posterior segment of the thorax) is concave in the middle, articulating with the anterior part of the first abdominal segment.

The mesoscutum and scutellum have striations similar to those on the mesoscutum, but less dense, and occasionally with wrinkled grooves. The forewing is 3.5 times longer than wide and 2.3 times wider than the thorax. The postmarginal vein is absent, and the stigmal vein is longer than the marginal vein.

The abdomen is 2.3 times longer than wide, and equal to the width of the thorax. The first and second tergites (dorsal plates of the abdomen) are equal in length. The third tergite is longer and wider than the others. The first tergite has a short horn anteriorly, articulating with the propodeum. The first and second tergites have longitudinal grooves. The third tergite features transverse and longitudinal striations, forming a network. The remaining tergites are punctate (covered in small dots), with short hairs. The body is black. The head is black, and the compound eyes are black. The scape is yellowish-brown, the radicle is yellow, the mouthparts are yellowish-brown, the legs are yellow, and the wing veins are brown.

The male and biology are unknown.
