Description:
Female: Head width is 2.5 times greater than its length. The vertex behind the ocelli bends abruptly; the transverse carina is not sharp. The gena is wide, but its width is less than the width of the compound eye. The posterior ocellus is located a distance from the compound eye that is less than the distance from the anterior ocellus to the posterior ocellus (5:7). The frons is concave, with a median longitudinal carina; there are no transverse grooves on either side of the carina. The compound eye has short, dense hairs and a small oval shape (10:8), and its length is slightly greater than the length of the cheek. A groove connects the lower edge of the compound eye to the base of the mandible; on either side of this groove are short, faint grooves, angled towards the base of the mandible. The surface of the head has a small reticulate pattern. The antenna is 12-segmented and clavate. The scape is 4.5 times longer than wide, about 5 times longer than the radicle, and about 3.5 times longer than the second antennal segment. The second antennal segment is longer than the third segment; segments 4-6 become shorter and their width is greater than their length. The antennal clava has 6 segments. The total length of the claval segments is greater than the length of the scape and is about 3 times greater than their greatest width. The ratio between width and length is as follows: 2:3; 3:4; 3:5; 2.5:4; 3:3.
The thorax has equal width and length. The mesoscutum lacks a median dorsal groove. The scutellum is rounded posteriorly and not elevated. The metanotum and propodeum are narrow and short. The surface of the thorax resembles the pattern on the head.
The forewing is about 2.5 times longer than wide and 1.6 times wider than the thorax; the postmarginal vein is longer than the stigmal vein, both of which are longer than the marginal vein. The posterior fringe of the wing is longer than the wing fringe of Gryon cates Kozlov et Le.
The abdomen has the same length and width, and its width is equal to the width of the thorax. The first tergite is shorter than the second tergite and equal to the length of the last 4 tergites (3-6). The first tergite is about 3 times wider than long. The second tergite is about 2.5 times wider than long. The remaining tergites are much wider than long. The ovipositor is not exposed. The first tergite has longitudinal grooves; the remaining tergites have a pattern similar to that on the thorax.
Body color is black. Antennal clava is black, and the remaining antennal segments are brownish-yellow. Veins on the wings are brown. Coxae are black, and the remaining leg segments are brownish-yellow.
