Adult Appearance:
Short, white supercilium (eyebrow stripe). Sooty black on the crown, chin, a broad band across the breast, the sides of the head, and the sides of the neck. The rest of the upperparts are brown, and the tail is slightly darker. The tips of the feathers on all but the central three tail feathers are white. The throat and upper breast are white. The lower breast, belly, and undertail coverts are white, with a slight yellowish tinge.
Eyes are brown. The bill and legs are black.
Measurements:
- Wing: 73 – 82 mm
- Tail: 90 – 100 mm
- Tarsus (leg): 19 – 20 mm
- Bill: 12 mm
Distribution:
This Java Fantail (species) is distributed in Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, Malaya, and Java.
In Vietnam, this species is found in the South.
