Adult Male:
- Head and Sides of Head: Bright pink
- Cheeks and Nape: Pale silvery pink
- Under the Lower Mandible, Chin, Throat, and a Stripe Below the Cheeks: Black, extending into a band on both sides and the back of the neck.
- Dorsal Surface: Pale green, with a light yellow wash on the upper back.
- Tail: Pale green, with the base of the feathers green and the tips of the feathers pale yellowish-white.
- Wings: Green. Wing feathers and coverts are edged with a lighter color. The inner vanes of the primary flight feathers are dull black.
- Medium Wing Coverts: A red streak is present.
- Underparts: Pale yellowish-green.
- Underwings and Axillaries: Green.
Adult Female:
- Forehead: Grayish-pink, edged with yellow.
- Neck: Lacks the black band found in males.
- Eyes: White or pale yellow.
- Upper Mandible: Orange-yellow.
- Lower Mandible: Black.
- Legs: Dull green.

Distribution:
The species Psittacula roseata is found in Bengal, Nepal, Assam, Myanmar, Thailand, South China, and Indochina.
In Vietnam: This species is present throughout forests with relatively open areas, from Quang Tri province southwards.
