Adult Description:
The adult bird presents with the following characteristics:
- Head: Forehead and surrounding area with a faint gray-white appearance. Crown and sides of the head are dark gray.
- Upperparts: Hindneck, flanks of the neck, and back are gray-green.
- Wings: Gray with a mix of green.
- Underparts: Forecheeks are gray-green. Foreneck and crop are gray-green. Belly, flanks, and thighs are black with a hint of green.
- Tail: Black with a slight green tinge. Undertail coverts are white.
Measurements:
- Wing Length: 250 mm
- Tail Length: 85 mm
- Tarsus Length: 87 mm
- Bill Length (including the crest): 71 mm
Distribution:
The Chloropsis viridis species is distributed in Southern Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
In Vietnam, the bird can be found throughout the lowlands and midlands, but it is more commonly found in the northern and southern regions.
