Adult Plumage Description:

The head, nape, hindneck, and upper back are a bright rufous-brown. The mid-back, shoulders, and wing coverts exhibit a golden-green sheen. The lower back, rump, and uppertail coverts are a pale, bright blue-green. The flight feathers have a golden-green sheen with black tips. The underwing surfaces are rufous-brown. The tail feathers are golden-green, with the elongated central tail feathers being black, and the underside of the tail is a pale black. A black stripe originates in front of the eye, extends below the eye, and continues behind the ear; a faint pale blue-green stripe follows beneath it.

The chin and throat are a pale, blue-green hue. A black band is present across the upper breast. The breast is pale, yellow-green. The belly and undertail coverts are pale blue-green. The eyes are reddish-brown. The beak is black, with a slightly white tip and base of the lower mandible. The legs are gray-green.

This species is found in Assam, Burma, Thailand, South China (Yunnan), and Indochina.

Vietnam: This species is found in Quảng Trị, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngãi, Thanh Hóa, Ninh Thuận, Bình Thuận, Lâm Đồng, Biên Hòa, Thủ Dầu Một, and Tây Ninh provinces.
