Description:

Slender, flattened body, length 84-111 mm; long, thin limbs; irises yellowish-brown; dorsal surface brown with gray markings, numerous yellow spots bordering the flanks; a pale yellow arc-shaped band posterior to the neck, with 3-4 pale yellow bands running across the dorsal surface; granular body scales; 16-21 precloacal pores.

Ecology:

Inhabits rock crevices and caves on cliffs within the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve, Hai Phong.

Distribution:

A newly discovered species in Vietnam, first described in May 2008. Currently, this gecko has only been recorded on Cat Ba Island, representing the fourth known Goniurosaurus species in Vietnam.
