This species inhabits tropical rainforests, indoors, areas with numerous rock crevices or large coastal boulders, and locations at moderate altitudes. It is a nocturnal species, active near hiding places, ambushing prey on rock faces. Its skin color closely resembles the bark of the trees where it resides, which aids in predation. Females lay approximately 2 eggs in tree hollows.
