Identification:
Morphological Characteristics:
The shell is approximately 125mm in length, heavy, and robust, with a cylindrical shape. The dorsal surface is dark brown, transitioning to a lighter brown near the ventral ridge and marked with dark brown circular spots.
The ventral surface is yellow. The teeth are coarse, short, and do not extend laterally along the abdominal margin.
Biology and Ecology:
This species inhabits coral reefs and rocky reefs, ranging from the intertidal zone to the subtidal zone, with a depth of up to 10 meters. It thrives in areas with high salinity, away from river mouths, and clear water.

Value:

Only two local subpopulations have been identified. Population size has decreased by approximately 20% and is projected to decline by over 50% within 5-10 years. The primary threats are environmental pollution and habitat destruction.

Conservation Measures:
Although not directly targeted by harvesting, the species’ rarity necessitates the protection of its ecological environment. This includes prohibiting the use of explosives and coral exploitation in its habitats.
