This subspecies differs from Arborophila rufogularis laotiana in that the entire throat, including the lower throat, is covered in black feathers.

Measurements:

  • Wing: 145 mm.

Distribution:

The Rufous-throated Partridge (Arborophila rufogularis guttata) is distributed in central Vietnam. Specimens have been collected from Ba Na and near Hai Van Pass.
